    Description

This is a drum stick with the shaft made of Indonesian ebony (macassar, a very hard wood) The head is softer with an outer covering of woven cloth. These were originally made to be used on a large bowl shaped, bronze temple bell or a wooden bell for chanting (mokugyo) but they could be used to hit anything. My wife uses one as a massage stick.
    They’re 14 inches long (35.5 cm)
We have about 100 of these still in their wrapping.
We have other antique/vintage Japanese items. Please see our “Other items”. We will combine items for shipping if we can safely do so.
And if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please return it within 14 days for a “no questions asked” refund.
Notice: If you want to combine items, or are buying internationally, contact us about shipping before payment. We can often give you a better price than the computer generated ebay shipping price.
